10K San Silvestre Run

This tradition of St. Sylvester races mentions the story began in France, where people ran at night carrying torches at the end of the year. Likewise, the event is related to Sylvester I, who was the 33rd Pope of the Catholic Church who died on December 31, 335. They have become popular in the world, so in December many countries perform his San Silvestre career. These are mainly celebrated in Europe and Latin America, where they have become a tradition for runners to conclude the year. For example, the most famous San Silvestre races in the world are held in Spain and Brazil. In Puerto Rico we hold the San Silvestre race, the last Sunday of December of each year.
