Conversation: Food as culture

“Food as culture” will be the topic of discussion at the Dialogues de sobremesa event, an event managed by students from the Food Technology program at the University of Puerto Rico in Utuado in collaboration with the ACirc Association and El Bastión Cultural Center.

It will be divided into three main dialogues:

Where our food comes from?
How do we process and distribute food in the archipelago?
What is the future?
“We will question and discuss why we eat what we eat, how our agri-food system works and the reality of the people who produce, process and distribute food in the archipelago,” the organizers reported.

The renowned chef Giovanna Huyke will be the moderator of the conversation.

The free event for the general public will take place on Saturday, December 16, from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
